The England Under-17s ace, who trained with Jurgen Klopp’s first-team squad last week, is regarded as one of the country’s hottest prospects.

Liverpool snapped him up from Man City last summer but could now face a fight to hold on to him.

Dortmund believe the English market is the place to shop after the success of Sancho and believe more of our youngsters are ready to leave the Premier League in order of first-team football abroad.

And City’s most-prized academy asset Foden, 18, is another on their list.

Pep Guardiola has already insisted the midfielder is going nowhere, but that has not deterred Dortmund.

They are also determined to land Hudson-Odoi following his fine displays for Chelsea in pre-season.

The forward, 17, was promised game time by Maurizio Sarri but has found chances hard to come by so far under the Italian.

But Dortmund are not the only club to have been alerted by his lack of action with new Monaco boss Thierry Henry also keeping tabs on him.
