TOTTENHAM striker Harry Kane has filmed an ad for a new pricey Samsung phone… but seems a little confused about where he lives.
The 25-year-old is shown delving into a crate to pull out the new Galaxy Note 9 Fortnite blower – worth a whopping £900.
The packaging is made to look like a supply drop box from the game and he tells his followers: “You’ve gotta see what’s landed in my hotel room.
“It’s like I just said, it just dropped down from the skies. Let’s see what’s inside.”
But he’s left fans scratching their heads because the commercial is clearly filmed at his house in Essex.
Kane tells his 6.7 million followers as he opens the crate: “Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Fortnite. Got my hands on the new Galaxy Note 9. Can’t wait to see what it can do.”
Unfurling a poster with his gamer name on he says: “Are these all my real stats? Don’t know if I wanna show these. HK93 – that’s my gamer tag.”
He then pulls out a box with the handset in and adds: “Can’t wait to open it up and see what it looks like. Very smart, very slick. The battery life on this is supposed to be amazing as well.
“We have a lot of away games, a lot of Champions League games, having Fortnite on the phone now, it’s perfect really.”
The ad shows Kane’s gaming character scoring a goal and celebrating my hitting a cow bell with a drum stick and ends with the footballer doing keepy-uppies on his patio while playing the game on his new phone.
But fans weren’t impressed with his acting.
One said: “how awkward is this?”
Another added: “Cringe.”
Yet another commented: “Award-winning acting.”
In a written message on his Instagram, he adds: “Got my own Supply Drop thanks to @samsungmobile and Fortnite!
“Some great stuff in there, including the new #GalaxyNote9 which is going to be perfect for playing Fortnite on away trips and when I’m chilling.”
