MOURINHO wants to add even more signings to his Man United squad after falling short in Premier League and Europe.
Jose Mourinho has spent over £300m in just over 18 months at Man United – but according to the Special One that hasn’t been enough.
But luckily for the United boss he has a chief executive who will go the extra mile for him.
According to reports in The Sun, Woodward will arm his manager with another £200m warchest this summer in their bid to close the gap on arch rivals Man City next season.
Mourinho, who signed a deal until 2020 in January, knows some at the club question if he is the right man going forward, but Woodward will show owners the Glazers he backs the man he hired.
Mourinho’s targets include Napoli’s Jorginho, Juventus’ Alex Sandro, Spurs duo Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld, Celtic’s Kieran Tierney and Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin.
Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian are set to be dumped with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones also under threat.
However, United have no plans to sign a new striker despite losing veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swede saw his contract torn up in order to join MLS giants LA Galaxy.
And with Romelu Lukaku in good form, Mourinho is reluctant to splash out on another attacker.
He said: “We have Lukaku and Marcus Rashford as number nines, and of course Marcus can player right and left, but Marcus is a striker.
“Alexis can player as a striker, Martial can play as a striker, so without having another Lukaku, we have three more players that can play as a nine.
