“But from what I know and the comments I hear, I have to think that sooner or later he will end up at Real Madrid.”

Neymar scored 25 goals last season, before succumbing to a metatarsal injury that hampered his performances at the World Cup.

But his dream partnership with Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani still makes PSG one of the most feared attacking forces in European football.

And Neymar would follow the paths of Luis Figo, Ronaldo and Luis Enrique in crossing the Clasico divide if he did join Real.

Rivaldo added: “It seems probable that the he will stay in France for at least one more year, but with such a crazy market you do not know what could happen from one day to the next.

“That is why it is possible until the transfer window shuts.”
