It’s another new season, but it looks like it’s the same old Harry Kane, doesn’t it?

Fresh from his World Cup Golden Boot heroics of the summer – where his six goals helped England reach the semi-finals – the front-man was back in action for Spurs today for their first Premier League game of the season.

Harry Kane £5 notes worth £50k are released – and here’s where to find one

But once again, the towering striker’s wait for a goal in the month August goes on, with Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli grabbing the goals in their 2-1 win over Newcastle.

Some things never change, eh?

The England international’s infamous August hoodoo lives on, now making it 14 Premier League games in August without a single goal.

Of course, Kane’s August hoodoo is common knowledge among Premier League viewers and is the subject of numerous jokes and sneers from opposition fans.

Still, that didn’t stop over 51% of you picking the Spurs striker in your fantasy football teams at this early stage of the season.

That’s right, the towering forward graces more than HALF of the teams created on Dream Team ahead of Game Week 1, making him the second-most selected player after Mohamed Salah.

We only imagine many of you selected him because of his brilliant Dream Team World Cup form, where he topped the fantasy football points chart.

Or perhaps you hoped he’d continue on from his Premier League form at the end of last season, where he netted four times in his final three matches to run Salah agonisingly close for the Golden Boot.

But alas, there was no joy against Newcastle today.

So, what are you going to do now?

Spurs face Fulham next weekend, before travelling to Man United on August 27 – so is it worth holding onto Kane to see if he can score in either of these games?

Personally, we’d stick Joselu in his place.
